file you shared.
Books marked [ref] are priced and exported but do not enter the
consensus median. Hard Rock (FL) is reference-only on purpose: it is the book you bet into, so it is
the thing being compared, not part of the yardstick. Folding it into the median would mean
partly grading it against itself and would shrink any real edge toward zero.
Caesars and Fanatics require a paid plan. Pinnacle is an EU book scraped from their public site, so it
can lag — treat it as a sharp anchor, not a live price. More consensus books = a more stable
median, at no extra quota cost up to 10 books total.
Read this before you trust an edge.
Player-prop markets are efficient. A well-built model normally sits within a couple of points of the
consensus. When you see a +15 point edge, the overwhelmingly likely explanation is a
bug in the model — not free money. That is exactly why this column exists: it is a
smoke detector for your own math first, and a betting signal a distant second.
Player props use the event-odds endpoint: 1 call per game, and
cost = markets × regions.
A 15-game slate × 4 markets × 1 region = 60 credits per pull.
Two pulls/day (morning + pre-lock) × 30 days = ~3,600 credits/month.
The historical endpoint costs 10× per call. This app deliberately does not use it:
a live pull taken shortly before first pitch is the closing line, at a tenth of the price.
We capture it live and store it locally forever.
